How you helped SoloNut jewelry become a reality

I am thrilled that everyone who uses my  jewelry knows that they are getting a one of a kind colorful piece of SoloNut jewelry worthy of the best.

SoloNut Jewelry CEO

Nice to meet you,

I’m Marina

“Love for nature” I started SoloNut jewelry with this idea in mind and I am incredible happy to see it come to life through my jewelry.

Before I created SoloNut jewelry, I wasn’t happy with my work, I was looking for something different and more meaningful in my life, and I wanted to make a difference.

Then one day…..

my daughter brought me a piece of jewelry from her trip to the Amazons and everything changed.

I went back to my country of origin and started researching on the tagua nut and I was thrilled to see all the possibilities of this awesome seed.

It turns out the road was more difficult that I imagined!

The hardest part….

at the beginning was finding the right supplier. I had to make several trips to the Amazon’s so I could carefully select my supplies, not because they were the cheapest but because they met my requirements.

First and most important making sure there was no child labor.

The shop that I’ve been working meets these criteria and most employees are single moms head of household. I’ve had with them a long-term relationship assuring them employment.

I wasn’t sure what people thought about jewelry made with seeds so I started doing arts & crafts shows and to my surprise they loved it!

After Covid-19….

I had to make changes.  I was low on tagua inventory and I had to come up with something new since I wasn’t able to make a new order.

I started working with resin and dry flowers and I fell in love with this medium, because it gives me so many possibilities and  still connected with nature and color.

The resin that I use is non-toxic, No VOCs. No fumes. No solvents.  Conforms to ASTM D4236 Safe for Home Use, and I dry most of my own flowers.
